Lu Guang Zhong, OMG..you rock!!

November 9th, 2008 · No Comments

I was fetching my colleagues to lunch the other day when suddenly, a cute chinese songs plays in the radio. The song is not bad, and my colleagues mentioned that her 5 years old kid know how to sing the whole song..

Whoaa.. I can’t even remember what song I can sing at 5 years old. Don’t think I can even speak that well then.

The song is 早安,晨之美 (Zao An, Chen Zhi Mei) or Good Morning, by Lu Guang Zhong.

The MV is kinda cute but gross, as the breakfast is coming out from his mouth instead of eating it. The magic is either they reverse the film process, but the heck did he sing the song? Backward? Hmm…

Lu Guang Zhong was a Spanish major at Tamkang University.
After he got into a car accident he spent a long period of time in the hospital, and during that time he picked up guitar and soon after began composing songs and joined competitions. He eventually won the champion at Tamkang University for a song contest in which he sang one of his own compositions, then he won a ChengDa University Golden Melody Prize for composing and singing as well as an award for Most Popular Contestant. His single “Yuan Ming” released in 2006 also won him a Hito Music Award. From then he began a series of mini-concerts at breakfast joints and schools.

Then I was hooked to his second song which is also the theme of his album,  100種生活 (100 Zhong Shen Huo) or 100 Ways of Living.

I love the song so much that I was hunting for the lyrics pinyin… and Ifound out how i can annotate the the lyrics into pinyin myself..even better!!

He was nicknamed Vitas because of a Youtube clip of himself that he put up imitating Russian singer Vitas ( Vitaliy Vladasovich Grachov), a handsome singer known for his strong countertenor voice. Thus a “Vitas” trend was created as his clip became famous.

This following video show’s Vitas concert…and I promise you will go WOW!!

What… you don’t think other people can do that?? Well, Lu Guang Zhong did…although he seems to mock Vitas Russian as he change the lyrics a bit.. that’s what happen when you don’t understand other people’s language.

Here’s his version…

OMG..you rock man!! hehe
